NSFS Level 1 Training

Chester Hybrid Online Level I course

Starting: February 1, 2018 (Download Schedule Below)
Where: Chester Fire Department and Bridgewater Fire Department
Cost: $1,700.00 per student

In order to have separate practical weekends, each district (Chester and Bridgewater) must have a minimum of 10 participants. Otherwise, the district that has the most participants will host the practical weekends for both groups.

Participants must have their NSFS application completed and submitted to Lesley Mulvey (lmulvey@fireschool.ca) no later than January 5. Once at least 10 participants are registered, computer ID's and passwords will be sent out along with books. On the NSFS application, for course name indicate Chester Online Hybrid. Cost per participant is $1700.00 each if paid in full 30 days before start of course (Feb 10th).

If we are fortunate to have enough participants to run practical weekends in both Chester and Bridgewater, should there be a conflict regarding one of the weekends for a student but he/she can attend the respective practical in the other district... all efforts will be made to accommodate that participant.

For more information see Andy Wentzell. Applications MUST be sent in to the fire school by the first week in January. So far we have 8 members taking level 1 on this side of the river. If we get 10, there will be two simultaneous sessions occurring, one in Chester and one in Bridgewater. I do not mind being the contact person to get this off the ground. Money shall accompany your application. You can send the application and money in direct to the Fire School or send or drop off to the Bridgewater fire hall and I will look after it. There is also an opportunity to have members who do not have internet to have access to a computer and group sessions which will be similar to the old facilitator led level 1 sessions.

Also, if you have members that have or are missing a couple of modules, start compiling a list of who the member is and what they are missing. We can get make up weekends or days for individual modules starting in the new year. I will bring this up again around February.
